About Us… And Our Bollards

We are very proud to be a successful, family run business with over 14 years experience within the construction and manufacturing industry. The greatest advantage with this is that it gives us the opportunity to think outside the box, to be different and follow our hearts. We have come a long way on this incredible journey, learning and constantly growing through our ups and downs and tackling all the challenges and obstacles that come with running a business.

We realised that we wanted to expand the business, to design and to make British stuff (people really don’t make things anymore)! Street furniture was the ideal fit with our company’s experience as we had got involved in some projects of this type in the past and really enjoyed it. And so BandB Products developed and took shape and what a journey its been!

In the tradition of only building things which start with the letter ‘B’ (an in-house joke!) our original foray into product design and production – timber bollards – designed to allow a traditional bollard to be removed without leaving a dangerous or hazardous hole or trip hazard.  This is a premium product hand turned from a single piece of solid timber – Green Oak or Western Redwood Cedar or indeed other timbers, available as both removable and static models.

A practical and hansom product, which will bring practicality and prestige to any location!

The ideas factory is up and running there’s lots more to come…. watch this space!

What Lottie says about Dylan… He is an extremely creative character! As his youngest child I have grown up with the best climbing frames, summer days and constant new inventions around the house to use or play on. This isn’t because we had all the money in the world, its because my dad, Dylan Bagust, has the most imaginative and creative personality I have ever seen and is constantly coming up with new inventions and designs, still to this day! Through the way he thinks, we as a family have slowly developed an original product side to our business with me (Lottie) customer service, promotion and sales, Mum (Renate) managing finance, office and logistics, and Dad, designing and managing the manufacturing side of the products he invents.

What Renate says about Dylan…The creative one of the team and never short of coming up with ideas. Give Dylan an engineering, design or practical problem and he will come up with a working solution. Nothing makes him happier (well maybe a Wales rugby win) then bending his mind to operational and design problems. He is a very motivating man to work with, his remarkable ‘can do’ attitude and his unwavering energy and enthusiasm is inspiring. Dylan has developed his business for over 25 years and along his journey has gained a fountain of skills and knowledge, I am very proud of him and his achievements.

We're glad we chose to be different and get each other to write our personal introduction. Reading these gave us all lots of warm fuzzies and a little tear or two ...

Marketing, Sales & Customer Care

What Renate says about Lottie…Also know as ‘The Bin Lady’ the youngest and newest member of the family team, Lottie has brought a fantastic new outlook to the business with her fresh and creative ideas. Becoming manager of a pet shop by the age of 21 demonstrates she is a bright young thing so was poached by her Ma and Pa to help them take BandB products to the next level. What floats Lottie’s boat is helping customers with the right product; nothing makes her happier (well maybe cuddles with her pooch, Vinnie) then giving great customer service and sharing her knowledge to find that perfect fit.

What Dylan says about Lottie…Lottie, Lottie, Lottie – Not only my youngest daughter, but my sharpest critic (after her Mum!) Lottie is sharp, sassy and tells ‘it’ or on most occasions ‘me’ just how it is and how it should be! When she laughs we all laugh and as our marketing lead, she will be doing her best to bring the BandB product range to your attention. But only through great customer service, excellent product knowledge and information! AND absolutely will NOT be calling or emailing you all the time!
I know how she’s going to treat our customers because she’s been on loads of courses and she has almost single-handedly coerced and kicked her Mum and Dad to get their acts together and she finally has her BandB Bin website…Just watch this space she’s already kicking us for more products to sell…She’s pretty…well she’s just pretty!

Renate

Finance & Logistics Director

What Dylan says about Renate…She’s the heartbeat of the business, keeping everything in order and ordered. We’re sure it must feel like a thankless task, with Lottie and Dylan trailing in her wake of professionalism. Her filing systems are legendary, and spoken about in hushed tones. She loves figures, numbers and detail she often wishes her colleagues had a similar passion!
She’s the voice with ‘the’ questions (often the uncomfortable ones for Dylan!) and boy can she ask ‘the’ questions. However those questions lead to better products and better service!
She’s our pot of glue that sticks us all together, making BandB whole!

What Lottie says about Renate… She is my manager and my mother and well, we can all imagine how that could be difficult…but saying that, over the time I have been with the company she has taught me great skills that I can take forward in any challenges my future might hold. Her biggest talent is the finer details and making sure everything goes to plan. Renate’s strengths lie in planning, research and finance, which is great as Dylan tends to live in his creative bubble and not concentrate on the final detail, making them the perfect match!
